These hand thrown stoneware soup mugs are glazed in a shiny brown black glaze overlapped with a band of a blue white glaze that creates subtle accents of multiple colors (blue, blue green, lavender) - hard to describe but beautiful to look at. The comfortable handle is hand pulled and has the added advantage of not getting hot when heating your beverage in the microwave.
Each mug is approx. 3" (7.6 cm) in height, 5" (12.7 cm) in diameter, 6 3/4" (17.2 cm) wide including the handle. Easily holds 16 ounces (.5 liter).

These pieces were handmade on a potter's wheel out of stoneware and fired to over 2300 degrees F. They can be used in the microwave and put in the dishwasher.
