The bracelet measures 7.5" and has a secure clasp. The fourth photo shows a selection of antique buttons as well as an 1880-1890 photo of a corseted dress with button detail, similar to a gown these buttons once adorned.

Compass Rose Design revives historic heirlooms into wearable art. Everything in my shop is handmade in my home studio just north of San Francisco, California.
Jewelry of the early Victorian era reflected the romantic notions of the young queen’s courtship and marriage. Love tokens, travel charms and other symbol-laden, sentiment-infused jewelry was popular from 1830 to the turn of the century. Mass production methods in the 1800s popularized steel picture buttons, used on women and children’s clothing from the 1860s into the Edwardian era. Victorian pictures buttons, often with multiple layers, featured detailed botanical designs and scenes from Classical art and mythology and European fairytales.
