When I do put it on it tugs my head. It feels kind of heavy like the way a down comforter "presses" and you don't want to get out of bed. That's how the crocheted black fedora hat feels. It just weighs and stays on you. It grips and holds it shape very well.
Now I have to fix the tall crown. Use three fingers starting with the right index finger cupping the top. The thumb and middle finger are pushing in each side of the crown.
The wide edge brim measure 2in. It is easy to move. There is a different texture of stitches going around like a circle. Lift the back and fold down the front like a typical fedora hat. Because double strands of yarn are used with a small crochet hook throughout the hat, it will look firm and not look flimsy. We don't want flimsy! If I want to tilt the brim, I can. It stays in shape and does not ripple. Looks like a regular fedora hat. If I want to mold it in any other shape, I can. Feels stylish. Fits head sizes 21in-23in(53cm-59cm).
Machine wash delicate and air dry with the hat standing and the top of the crown folded. HAT SHIPS 5-14 DAYS AFTER CHECKOUT.
