This Victorian floral bustle gown is fabulous and a 3 piece creation! It features a bodice heavily adorned with gorgeous details in lace, ribbon, buttons, and tassels. The background color of the fabric is a dark olive color and has beautiful roses colored in pink tones. It is fully lined with a good quality designer lining. The bodice fastens at the back with a separator zipper. There is an olive green taffeta dickey with a jabot made from the same striped fabric used for the apron on the skirt. The dickey has a high neck trimmed with lace and fastens at the back of the neck with hooks and eyes. It would be scrumptious with a beautiful cameo pin attached at the neck! The bodice has 3/4 length sleeves deliciously trimmed in lace and tassel trim. There is a sleeve cap also in lace.
Next is the skirt which is adorned with the same lace featured on the bodice running down the length of the skirt. The apron is made from a very pretty pink and gold striped fabric which is trimmed with lace and tassels just as with the sleeves. The hemline is also trimmed in lace and tassel trim.
Finally, there is a detachable bustle which is also made from the striped fabric. Beautifully formed with several pleats, it shapes over the back of the dress to perfection.
This dress requires a bustle pad and petticoat to make the generous 107" width skirt sway and swirl. I would be happy to make the bustle pad and petticoat for you as well if you don't already have those items. Just ask for a quote for these items.
This gown will fit the following measurements:
Bust up to 38 1/2 inches, but do not go by bra size. You must actually measure at the fullest part of the bust.
Waist 28 1/2" max. However, there is some room for alteration.
The hip area is very generous.
Although this gown is machine washable, I recommend hand washing and drip drying to maintain the integrity of the laces and trims.
