I suspended the pendant from a chain of seed beads and Czech fire polish beads. The faceted blue fire polish are caged within loops of shiny black lined beads, with accents in deep cobalt blue and creamy light beige. Each element in the chain complements the gorgeous swirled glass of the lampwork pendant, which features a pool of shocking blue transparent glass within shades of ivory and smokey gray. I have finished the necklace with a matching button and loop clasp.
Dimensions: The pendant section is 5.5 cm (2.2 inches) long, with the lampwork focal measuring 1.5 cm (0.6 inches) wide. Each side of the necklace is 26 cm (10.2 inches) long, excluding the Y section. The beaded button measures 18 mm (0.7 inches) wide.
There's nothing like a flameworked glass to bring out the beauty of other beads. This necklace was made to show off the enchanting lampwork bead by Silver River Glass Works. I love the palette of this piece, which almost has a Delft blue quality to it.
Materials used in this design include a one of a kind lampwork pendant, Japanese glass seed beads, and Czech glass fire polish beads. I weave all of my jewelry with strong fused nylon thread, which provides lasting durability.
