One would think being a mother is understood that you love, it is not always the case. My Dad had this heart of a Mother. I know his heart was broken so many times before, and I know it healed in little patches. Well those brought a new value to our lives. Appreciation for life, gratitude we are given more time in this life to share with each other, to give and smile. See? The SMILE is the key.
It is a spring around the corner, and once bare trunks you may think are not alive anymore, are sprouting with new leaves. One of them is a tree that fell in the patch of forest next to our home. We saw one tree being knocked down in one strong gust of wind, taking two other trees down with it. Well, one of them is heading downhill, but is very much alive!!! That is how I see healing of a broken heart: sprouting new life, new leaves, one smile at a time.
Where this heart came from?
One Bradford Pear was brought down in a stormy summer day, and one of the branches had this heart shape. It was cured well, cut, sanded and the message was applied on its surface. This particular part had a crack, which inspired me to make this ornament. Heart itself is 3" high, 4” wide and about a half an inch thick, with natural bark on it.
Thank you for taking time to read this. I appreciate it.
Love and smiles,
