These drawings find their way into my clay studio where they are happiest carved into clay. This carved clay then becomes hardened by fire then fresh porcelain is laid onto it, picking up those drawings and reflecting them as a mirror image of what the drawing had been.
In time colors emerge in powdered form of glass on the surface of the porcelain which is to be melted down in a fire that reaches over 2200 degrees F into liquid puddles of glass that encase the now raised texture of that design on all sides of the pendant in beautiful, rich colors. I then etch the glossy surface to reveal this satin matte finish on this new series of pieces.
These glass covered porcelain pendants want to be made into jewelry or treasured in some way by you…
This listing is for the large round pendant in the first two photos.
If you would like me to create a piece of jewelry for you with this particular pendant, please let me know by message to seller or Etsy convo and I can use my skilled hands to wrap this piece for you with either a non-tarnishing brass or sterling silver wire, similar to what is seen in the last photograph.
The cost for making this piece wearable (wire wrapped bail and on silky or fairy ribbon):
$5 for necklace in a non tarnishing base metal wire.
$10 for Sterling Silver (please let me know if you want the silver "bright" or "antiqued").

I would be happy to pick a silk color that goes with the palette of the pendant for you, since I have it with me here in person. Just send me an Etsy convo or message to seller.
I can also create smaller sizes if you prefer something a bit more petite:
$14 Medium is about 1" in diameter
$10 Small is about 3/4" in diameter and are usually ordered as a set ($20) to make into earrings.
Please keep in mind that all these pieces are one of a kind and will look different every time I make one. This adds to the uniqueness of the piece(s) that you will receive.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my porcelain clay art work…
