I found this evocative and beautiful Chinese coin at a flea market in NYC and saw its potential as the centerpiece of a beautiful necklace. It's simple but stunning.

I paired the coin (which has a nice square hole in the middle -- it's almost like they designed it for a necklace!) with an antiqued brass key charm and a very large and lustrous brown freshwater pearl. A length of really beautiful vintage-inspired flat-link chain is looped through the key and coin's center and closes with a brass toggle clasp and another freshwater pearl and Czech glass rondelle. This necklace makes an elegant and worldly statement! The chain measures 70 cm and the coin drop measures an additional 4.5 cm.
