Origin: Sri Lanka, country of the southern coast of the Indian subcontinent, in South Asia, a island surrounded by the Indian Ocean. Known until 1972 as Ceylon. The Ceylon teas is grown on its island, from the highest region. It is described as the ‘champagne’ of Ceylon teas. Le Sri Lanka just celebrated the great Chinese explorer, Zheng He and his fleet, who erected there are 600 years, a monument on the island in the Indian Ocean. The stone tablet has been engraved in Chinese, Tamil and Persian, was erected in 1411 in the port city of Galle, and was discovered only 100 years ago.
