On and around the rim the translucent glaze let the cream stoneware show, and it adds contrast and grain to the piece.

This dish is food, dishwasher and microwave safe, so it is up to you to make a soap dish out of it on anything else. Spoon rest, sauce dish, pickle plate, trinkets, keys, and so on.
