1907 LEGENDS, TALES, POEMS Handmade Journal Vintage Upcycled Book

This one-of-a-kind book is upcycled from a vintage 1907 edition of, "Legends, Tales and Poems", by Gustavo Adolfo Becquer, the nineteenth-century Spanish writer of poetry and short stories, now considered one of the most important figures in Spanish literature. I have included 15 pages from the original book, mostly in Spanish, interleaved between 60 blank sheets of white paper.

This would make a great gift for a student or teacher of Spanish or Spanish literarture, or for anyone who loves vintage books!

The blank paper consists of 60 sheets of recycled, acid-free, 24 lb. white paper, which is smooth enough to write upon easily, but with a bit of a tooth to it, which makes it great for sketching as well. It's all bound with a sturdy, wire coil binding that allows the book to lie flat. Measures approximately 4 3/4" x 7" (including wire binding). The book's covers show some wear, which is part of the nature and character you find with a previously loved, recycled book.
