Average build time is 1- 2 weeks and delivery is between 1- 3weeks. We will do our best to let you know if we are super busy or ahead of schedule with your build. Once picked up it is out of our hands but we will both have a a tracking number and we always put you in direct contact with our stellar delivery service, Homedirectusa.com, based in Colorado. You can talk to real humans (who are friendly + filled in) every step of the way.
Our large reclaimed tables are designed with gatherings and events in mind. They enable you to always have ‘room for more’ at the table for holiday meals or impromptu dinner parties. These tables help provide a relaxing atmosphere where people feel special, as well ‘at ease’ to enjoy themselves freely. No stuffiness here. This makes them great for Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays, weddings, or a just glass of wine with a special friend. Did we mention that they are also very photogenic?
The unfinished raw state of this version allows you to have a completely rustic and authentic feel. While it may not be sealed it can still handle spills and daily use. After all these boards have been outdoors for almost a century.
These table tops were recently salvaged from an old blacksmith's shop from the early 1900s here in Orange, California. The top wood was originally milled from the great California Redwoods during the late 1800’s. Many early settlements were made with this awesome material, but sadly much has been torn down and just thrown away! We purchase all of our reclaimed wood from a local veteran demolition man, Jim, who’s 30+ year mission has been to save strong, old growth wood from going into the landfill.
We hand select every piece for its strength and character and then hand scrape all the splinters, while preserving the original sawmill marks and weathered character that only time can provide. Each table is double-reinforced beneath to handle the journey to you as well as many years of moves (and rearranging). We make each table with an ‘heirloom’ mentality. You wont ever need to buy another one, because time just makes them better...
I use a strategic combo of materials to insure the quality and aesthetic integrity of each table. The tops are made from the aged the redwood I mention earlier and other high quality woods are selected to fill out the rest. For instance, the legs are hard Alder (electric guitar wood) to provide years of sturdiness. All optional finishes are water-based, Low-VOC and child safe to eat off and even bite (We’ve actually had requests for this;)
We are proud to offer a ‘white glove’ - antique grade delivery service direct to your room of choice. All transit wrapping is removed and disposed of (not in your home) by the delivery personnel. When legs or other assembly is required, the delivery team will handle that too!
FYI: Many other furniture makers here on Etsy use standard freight w/ “curbside delivery” . Basically, it gets plopped in the street! We’ll have none of that around here and neither should you.
The best part is that EVERY DELIVERY IS INSURED at its full value should anything occur during its journey to you. Please see delivery policy for our damage/insurance protocols.
