According to information found at Bag Lady University (at the Bag Lady Emporium), Greta Originals bags were either bold or understated (this is the latter, but nicely so, and very well made). They were also quite expensive in their day--the site shows an ad stating that some bags ran up to $50 or higher--that was a lot to pay for a bag in the 50s!
(Bag is solid, rich black, but some photos are lightened for detail. The maker's imprint is present, but partially hidden under the covered top frame, so I couldn't get a good photo of it.)
