The Winter Solstice takes place on or around December 21st. It marks the longest and darkest night of the year. This is a celebration of light and rebirth of the Sun. Ancient rituals involved lighting huge bonfires to encourage the Sun to return to warm the cold earth once more.
A Winter Solstice Garden is 9” x 7 “ (22.5 x 17.5 cm) in size. It is painted on heavy Fabriano Artistico and comes with a standard 10" x 8" mount. It is ready to frame in a standard 10" x 8" frame.
