**A Note About Elephant Ivory...Ownership, sales, purchase & shipping of "estate ivory"...that which was harvested and entered the United States prior to 1989...is legal. In 1976, regulatory laws from the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) regarding Elephant ivory were put into place and only ivory from licensed game reserves who followed these mandates was allowed into the US. In 1989, the importation, sale & purchases of African elephant ivory was banned internationally.
