I had been wanting to paint the old San Diego farmer's market for a long time but with the challenging one-way street system downtown I kept getting lost. So I was very excited to actually wind up in the right place to paint this pink modern structure (early 1900s?) connected to what looks like a late Victorian brick warehouse. The wires to the left are for the trolley.
8 x 10 inches on archival canvas board.
When I was toiling for the man in cubicle land, I wanted to feel the sun on my face. I stepped out from under the fluorescents and I started painting the California good life. I wanted to embrace the beauty you can find in unexpected places. Where can you find beauty in the unexpected?
