This book is a phenomenal find, very rare. The reason for this is simple: everyone who already has a copy is jealously hoarding it due to its sheer magnificence!
A little boy is bored, see, and so he takes daily lunchtime trips to The Peanut Butter Colony where he is king of the Peanut Butter People (not really people, they're monsters, but being called people makes them feel good, so he says). There his loyal subjects (some are Crunchies, some are Smoothies) come from all the corners of the kingdom to bring him peanut butter delicacies like Leaning Towers of Peanut Butter and Jelly and birds made of peanut butter and marshmallow fluff. Occasionally they do battle with their enemies, the Jelly Bellies (sticky, slimy and messy), the Jelly Jammies (lumpy, sticky, slimy and messy), and the most dreaded Marmalugs (lumpy with long slimy arms). They try to force him to eat sandwiches with *GASP* NO PEANUT BUTTER AT ALL!! Horrors! Our hero saves the day, however, but after eating his (real life) peanut butter sandwich, he returns to his mundane daily life, complete with mom word bubble telling him its time to get back to school. Absolutely original, creative, awesome book.
