Each heart is made out from collage paper cut from pages of an early 20th century Mexican book. The painting has many other mixed media details all over the background and dress, where I used a crimson and green palette along with pieces of paper and decorative rich brushstrokes. Her eyes are lively and looking directly at you with a strong gaze full of passion.
