Having a little place to create is such a dream! No one would interrupt your inspiration here. This dollhouse is a total custom with all the detailed accessories included. It is battery operated with 2 chandeliers: one on the porch and one inside.
The front porch has a brick floor which I sculpted from concrete. The porch is outlined with the sweetest little wire fence. Of course there's a pumpkin. You never know when your fairy Godmother might drop by! The porch roof has a little Victorian detail edge and a flower drenched wire chandelier that works. The outside of the house is ridged cardboard that gives a gorgeous paneled effect. I used two different kind of ridges so this studio looks like it was put together from left over materials. Under the cardboard is a layer of concrete to make this tiny place super sturdy. It's all painted cream. The shingles are pine painted a very light gray. Dreamy!
Inside is all plastered walls. I was able to get one good crack to form in the front right corner. I love the super shabby look of it! The ceiling is all Popsicle sticks and looks like a star. The interior is all cream.
Let's start with the desk area. The desk and chair are gray with worn white showing through. Under the desk is a shipping box waiting to be filled. On top of the desk is a dollhouse in progress, paint brushes, pencil and note pad, teacup and saucer, and a framed picture. above there are 3 scalloped edge shelves filled with fabric, boxes, flower arrangement, gift bag, candles.
The big window has a burlap window treatment. Next to it is a 3 shelf floor cabinet. It is filled with notebooks, moss bag, and more fabric. The front door is hinged and working with hand crafted metal door knobs. You'll find a pink hatbox nearby. The working chandelier is white painted wire with pink flowers and moss.
The pie cabinet is old worn blue. It is filled with fabric bolts, ribbon, thread bobbins, 3 glass jars filled with glitter and beads, a tiny hanger hanging from a knob. The doors do open. None of the accessories are glued down. They have tacky putty so you can move things where you want.
Next to this cabinet is the result of a little shopping trip. In a paper bag are some rolls of paper and fabric, an oriental paper umbrella, and a brown paper package tied up with string!
Above the cabinet is my favorite piece: a big memo/inspiration board. I had lots of fun filling it up with gorgeous stuff!
