In the mean time, feel free to convo me for any requests for certain woods or acrylics - and I am planning on making at least a few more with antler. I looked at my antler stash and it doesn't look good for getting any more pens made until I get more. I'm truly sorry.
This is a unique pen made from a genuine, once-fired .50 caliber machine gun shell casing. The pen is just over six inches long and the "bullet" end twists to extend or retract the writing tip. It takes Cross-style refills available at office supply stores. The top ends all were hand-turned on a lathe and then polished.
This would be a great pen for a gun enthusiast or military member, or someone who just likes unique pens. Definitely a fun conversation piece!
I left the brass casing natural to show the patina that will build on the casing but a bit of brass polish and they become very bright brass colored.
Please convo us with which pen(s) you want. They are as follows:
single pen picture - Bethlehem Olivewood - sold, I left the picture to show a close-up of a single pen
Picture 2 is left to right - Purpleheart (sold), Goncalo Alves from South America(sold), two Brazilian Rosewood(sold). The Brazilian Rosewood is a deep chocolate brown (almost black) with a small amount of fine lighter brown grain in the wood.
Picture 3 is left to right - two Zebrawood(sold), and a desert camo acrylic.
Picture 4 is 3 Canarywood.
Picture 5 is 4 Cocobolo(one sold).
If you choose to purchase one of the pens I have more than one of, please send me a note telling which pen(s) you want.
I have more kits. If you would like something in particular that you don't see or that is marked sold, convo me and I will tell you whether or not I have the material to make exactly what you want.
