Use it as a hanging pendant or as a shade for a table light, the metal frame inside would fit either. (Shown here as a table lamp shade.) The overall shade is roughly 15 inches (38 cm) in diameter wide, and roughly 10 inches (25.4 cm) tall. And while most of the light is heavily filtered side to side, light pours out of the top and bottom of the shade unimpeded and can easily light a room as a pendant light, or work well on a table lamp. Because the shade is completely open on the top and the bottom air can easily flow around the light bulb cooling it down more than enough to protect the plastic from any heat damage. The plastic may slightly yellow over time but they definitely will not melt.
