A beautiful reverse carved glass pin with a painted flower and leaves, dating to the 1930s or early 1940s. This style of pin is sometimes called "goofus glass" and is created by carving an image into glass and then painting it, giving the image a three-dimensional effect. This pin is oval with domed glass set in a dainty brass frame. The flower carving is backed with shimmery mother of pearl and painted in ochre and soft pink. This particular design is quite rare. Secures with a pin and "c" clasp. Excellent condition.
