A large turn of the century hand-painted porcelain friendship brooch. The oval brooch is painted with a floral scene typical of the era, featuring roses, rosebuds and greenery. Different flowers meant different things to the Victorians, with dark pink roses often symbolizing gratitude and thanks. Prong set in a brass backing. Excellent condition. Secures with a pin and "c" catch.
