This block was originally carved for my second son, Xander. We planned a homebirth for him, but ended up transferring to the hospital after more than 24 hours of labor. Rather than let the lovingly carved block go to waste, I decided to make some shirts for other babes that were lucky enough to be born at home!
Show your homebirth pride and support by having your own little one sport this sweet little shirt.

The print is made with an original lino cut block (3 x 4 inches) that was drawn, carved and printed by me. The ink is fabric-safe, water-based and non-toxic. All the colors are hand-mixed by me and can never be replicated perfectly. This particular print is a deep, dark purple.

This is a LONG SLEEVE 100% cotton onesie, a nice thick knit and incredibly soft, fit for the most delicate of baby skin!
It was dyed by me in a small batch (10-12 shirts at a time) using fiber reactive dyes to ensure they'd be safe for your babe and healthy for me. The small batch dye process results in a shirt that is truly one of a kind. Dyeing in this manner yields some irregularities that add to the character of the finished product. This particular shirt is a light gray with blue undertones.
After dyeing, the shirts were thoroughly rinsed and then washed in a non-toxic, biodegradable soap. It comes to you ready-to wear (or gift!).
