~ vintage book pages
~ hand painted paper
~ pieces of scrap cloth
~ cardboard
~ and lots of beeswax!
The house is mainly constructed using cardboard - paper - and wax and is mounted on an old book cover.
There are three floors including an attic and each floor has cut-out windows and the bottom floor has a double door that can open and close.
Along with the vintage and painted papers, pieces of scrap cloth are used for curtains and rugs.
A big old tree stands next to the house with a swing hanging from its bough. The tree is made with hand painted brown paper and beeswax.
I have used beeswax all around the house from coating the roof, exterior walls and the base to touches of wax on various parts of the interior.
The dollhouse dimensions are approximately:
base 10.5 x 7.25 inches
Height 7.75 (including base) x Width 4.25 ( 5 inches including roof) x Depth 4 inches
Included with the art dollhouse:
A family: Father, Mother, 3 girls (including little girl on swing) and 2 boys.
