In the close up photos, you can see the way these ceramic glazes look like chalk or pastels. I work with colors the way a painter does...that's because i started out as a painter!!! and then i discovered the magic of clay. But still love working with the infinite possibilities of colors!!!! so my artworks are a combination of those two very different mediums.

Naming my Work:
People at shows are always asking me "How do you name your pieces?" Well, I don't know the name until the piece is completely finished…. i hold it, feel it, it begins to tell me its story. each one has its own unique story….. the clay tells me what to do as i am the "making" the piece. I start out with a basic idea, just a little seed and then the clay takes my by the hand and away we go….such a joy. and somewhere out there in this big wide world is the person that the piece is coming into being for. There is a life for each piece, a place that it is going home to, and that person will add to the story of the piece :) in that way it is dancing in the web of life, stirring, pulling apart, bringing together energy fibers, touching hearts, making happy, moving emotional energy in a healing-with-beauty way. That's the intent i hold for all of my art works.
