This is a very cool vintage Southwestern souvenir festival pictorial rug floor covering or wall hanging from an estate...1960's era...nice wool weaving rug or wall hanging with an artistic depiction of loons or birds. Tightly woven and dense. Interesting colors -- burgundy border with pumpkin, blues, old whites, browns and black colors. Of good size, it measures 41" long x 25" wide. It is in excellent preserved condition with no fading, no tears or holes, no moth damage...It looks like it was rolled and stored away the entire time, the ends have a muslin cloth added so you can hang it without damaging the rug but it can also be unstitched to remove. There is fringe in the corners and the ends have a warp finish border like the Navajo rugs have - I thought about taking off the muslin. The earth tone colors are all rich and beautiful together. It would be beautiful in a lodge cabin or bungalow - a wonderful depiction of bird nature in textile art.
