These are rare - I sold one other recently on Etsy and was lucky enough to find another - and this one, even more amazingly, is pristine and in its original dark pink Palissy-marked box!
So much of Palissy is boring - but this rare piece shows what they were really capable of. The three graduated plates are decorated with a gorgeous retro atomic pattern in white, black and pink on a soft mint or fern grey-green background, and are silver-rimmed.
The pillars are chrome, with a 'spaceship' looped carrying handle, and come in their original paper bag sold with the set..
The stand is in excellent condition with no damage and only some light and appropriate age-related crazing on the underneath of the plates. Each one is stamped with the Kon-Tiki pattern name, the Palissy stamp, and England, and there are a few decorator's marks. There is some light fading to the box lid and slight damage to the cardboard corners.
The plates are 23 cm/9", 18 cm/7" and 15 cm/6" in diameter, and the stand assembled measures around 35 cm/14" high to the handle. The boxed weight is 1070 gms, and the estimated packaged weight is 1600 gms. (As this is so rare I am sending by Signed For post, which does add about £5 to the shipping cost - sorry about that.)
