This gorgeous antique French relish dish is simply stunning and I'm so excited to have found this beautiful historical piece. Creamy white and deep sapphire blue make up the elegant color palette and lovely poppy flowers are featured against a lace like border. This very old piece of French pottery is refined enough for a your Parisian decor but fits perfectly with the rustic charm of the French farmhouse look too! Use it to serve up side dishes, snacks, nuts or desserts or take it out of the kitchen and use it in a bathroom for towels or soaps. A sweet catchall for all your baubles on your vanity too! So many uses!

Hautin Boulenger & Company (H.B. & Cie) got their start in 1805 when the three Paillart brothers opened up the first ceramic factory in Choisy-le-Roi, France. The company has a long and rather dramatic history but was renowned for its high quality earthenware, majolica tableware and also intricate sculptures and vases. By 1910 production of tableware ceased and the company focuses on producing ceramic tile. In 1936, the company closed it's doors. Highly collectable and sought after by antique lovers everywhere, H.B. & Cie's beautiful ceramics are still celebrated today.

According to the backstamp, this platter was produced in the late 19th century. It is in amazing vintage condition, considering its age with no chips or cracks. There is some crazing and discoloration but this only adds to its historical beauty. The dish measures 9 1/2" x 5".
