Oya (Turkish needle lace) is a traditional Turkish handicraft mainly used as the edging for headscarves (Yazma). This necklace is a nice example of adopting this centuries old Turkish art into modern life. The three dimensional lace work will look like a flower bouqet on your neck.

It can be terribly difficult to evaluate a necklace that you buy - the very fact should be enough to establish its quality, without further comment... Having practiced it a lot on a daily basis, I know that its presence - always singular - agrees with more colors and styles than one would think at first glance, but also that it is not necessarily easy to associate and requires a certain density of soul. Unforgettable when worn well, this statement necklace creates an impression of nostalgia and unique elegance.

Il peut s’avérer terriblement difficile d’évaluer un collier que l’on rachète -le fait même devrait suffire à établir sa qualité, sans plus de commentaire… Pour l’avoir beaucoup pratiqué au quotidien, je sais que sa présence -toujours singulière- s’accorde avec plus de couleurs et de styles qu’on ne le penserait de prime abord, mais aussi qu’il n’est pas forcément facile à associer et demande une certaine densité d’âme. Inoubliable quand il est bien porté, ce collier de caractère crée une impression de nostalgie et d’élégance unique.
