The story behind the painting:
This painting is an explosion of colors that give one the feeling of splashing in the water. It has a slight texture to it. I hope you enjoy it.
We all have places or environments that move us. For some, it's the majestic mountains, or wide open spaces of the Midwest, or perhaps the beauty of beaches. One place that cuts right down to the depth of my soul is the beach. There's just something about water that is so soothing, healing, and beautiful all at once. For that reason from time to time with art projects I tend to gravitate towards to the subject of water. I try not to limit myself just this subject, but I do know it's a place I feel freedom and an increase in creativity.
Allison.
About the Artist:
I studied Fine Arts at Peace College in Raleigh, NC and Ringling College of Art and Design, Sarasota, FL.
I have successfully sold my paintings since 2004 on different online auction venues: eBay, ArtByUs, and now listed on Etsy.
As an artist, I consider myself a color expressionist. I am madly in love with color ever since my first box of 62 crayola crayons given to me by my Dad. I still marvel at what color can do in our lives and I love it still amazes me.
My art is not only about color, but the movement of the paint and textures that can move us.
I was raised in Asheville, NC and blessed to presently being living in this beautiful, full of creativity, artsy town! I work out of a studio where I live, but soon may have to move into a larger studio. I paint with acrylics and oils.
