.
Dating from the late 1800s this is a large morceau of antique French peirod silk tapestry brocade that would be wonderful for period cushions, a small upholstery project or any vintage textile work.
This delicious brocade is a weave of silk, wool and linen and the brocade design adds relief to the display.
In rich autimn browns with touches of pale rose pink the panel is all good and strong with just a little wear commensurate with age. There is one small are that looks like it has a little old ink on it but there is still a large amount of good usuable period textile here.
This is an unusual shaped panel like a large flat topped triangle that measures approx:
Length on longest side 4 feet 8"
Legth on other long side 4 feet 4"
Width across bottom edge 4 feet
