The necklace part itself is on a blue rope/cord with blue beads stranded throughout. Also, the length can be adjusted a slight bit for better fitting.

Measuring from top to bottom including the pendant is about 10" at the shortest length or about 11.5" at longest length.
Measuring from top to bottom without the pendant is about 9" at the shortest length or about 10.5" at the longest length.
