★ This Remington has the most radiant shade of red I've ever seen on a typewriter. It's as if the color is screaming off the machine. Loud & bold. They dubbed it "Starfire" and, in my opinion, they hit the nail on the head. Check out the keys of the keyboard - they look so fierce. This typewriter is considered a featherweight machine ideal for travel. You'll also be amazed how reactive the type bars are to each stroke of the finger. Made in Holland (there's a Red Light District joke in there somewhere). The Starfire, serial number 158117, types 10 characters per inch (pica) and comes with a perfect red clamshell case. This is an absolutely mint MUSEUM QUALITY typewriter with a heart attack-inducing red finish.

★ I love typewriters! The clickety-clack of the type bars and the ding of a bell is like a symphony. Watching the springs and levers react with each keystroke is performance art. These old machines arouse and assault the senses whether they are on display or in action.
