i have brought back a nice collection of authentic french post cards from the porte de vanves flea market in paris. almost a year since i was in paris and the loire valley near saumur april 2011.
"bonne fete" or "happy party" post card. the sender is writing a lengthy tome to "dear (chere) marraine, dear (cher) parrain and cousin (cousine) rose in moutataire, france. let me know if you want a translation.
vibrant pink and purple flowers, think they are poppies, and greenery are the card's subjects underscored by a gold banner declaring "bonne fete". not mailed as a post card, most likely included in a present. in very good vintage condition.
plastic sleeve included.
5 3/8" by 3 3/8".
