This piece dates to the 1930s or 1940s. It's heavy enough to be a bookend but was purchased alone. The bottom of the base is covered with green felt, which doesn't appear to be original to the piece.
The statue is in very good condition, with a beautiful patina and a few scratches and other signs of its age. One of the tusks is loose.
