When I discovered my first Moroccan bowl, I knew it was the beginning of a collection. I fell in love with these battered old bowls with the deeply indented foot made for a hanging wire. A Although the Moroccan worker living in a boarding house would hang his bowl on a nail along with dozens of others, he was always able to identify it by its pattern.
Some of my bowls are held together by iron staples, but surprisingly enough, don't leak.
I tried to convey the beat-up condition of the bowls by distressing the surface of the print.
