Antique sterling vinaigrette perfume locket pendant with pale mint green basse taille enamels. Handsome and spare geometric design, with diamond shape cutouts for the fragrance to float through. The piece opens like a slider locket once the bail at the top has been removed. Signed on both sides, and stamped Sterling. The Webster Company was founded in 1894 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, specializing in holloware, vanity and novelty items. As of 1950, they became a division of Reed & Barton, and are still in existence today. This piece dates to the late 1800s early 1900s.
In good condition with visible chips to the enamel on front and back, none of which detract from the charm and beauty of this rare piece. There's an attractive warm patina throughout. I've added a light and sparkly 18 inch sterling chain.
