Every afternoon Christophe and his scooter would slip out to do a bit of exploring while his Mother took her afternoon nap. Once they were thoroughly lost, Christophe would look for a gendarme to take him home, hopefully stopping for an ice cream on the way. When he grew up, he became a cab driver. No one knew Carcasonne like Christophe.
I used a digital print of one of my pen and ink drawings in this mixed media collage. After applying mulberry tissue paper and vintage French papers I added a lightly tinted acrylic glaze. I finally coated it with a "UVLS" matte varnish to protect it from sunlight, dust and dirt. Each altered print is unique. Since it's mounted on Ampersand ¾ inch deep cradled hardboard, the piece can stand alone or be hung without a frame.
