All the layers of gold, patterned paper with a pale gold paint then a layer of gold leaf, with a black and gold french trim either end and a vintage gilt diamante button on top.
Inside the drawer, wrapped in a honey coloured piece of antique lace and grosgrain ribbon is a delicate garland of pale gold leaves with a tiny brass bell.
