This rug hooking kit is hand drawn on cotton monks cloth. It comes with all the wools cut in one quarter inch strips necessary to complete the kit and also the pattern, rug binding, a color key, easy to follow instructions and a solid maple Moshimer rug hook. I can't tell you how many people have taught themselves traditional rug hooking (not latch hook) using these kits. The pattern measures 7 X 9 inches and would make a great wall hanging, table centerpiece, candle or teapot mat when completed. Lots of people hang these hand hooked mats from old cupboards or make little pillows out of them. The pineapple is hooked with my own dyed mustard and rust with a couple of greens for the top. The background is hooked with a lovely dyed chocolate and for a finishing touch I added a couple of rows of deep dark cranberry red. The only thing you'll need in addition to these items is a small frame to put your pattern into. Most people start off with a circular or oval quilting or embroidery hoop which can be purchased at most craft and sewing stores. I have been hooking rugs and selling kits for many years on ebay. I am enjoying being on etsy so very much. I love the fact that this is a site for items that are handmade. If you have any questions please email me and thanks so much for looking at my work.
