The exterior of this pencil cup is wrapped in an Audubon illustration of a Swift Fox, rendered in soft shades of cream, grey, cinnamon, and pale green, carefully removed from an old book. The back of the cup is papered with a crinkled Lokta sheet in deep earthy green with shades of chocolate brown. The surface looks three dimensional, but it is actually perfectly flat. Along the bottom rim of the cup is a marbled sheet in deep orange, taupe, light brown and gold on a light orange ground.
The inside of the pencil cup is lined with a beautiful off-white paper embedded with bamboo leaves.
The pencil cup is 4 inches across and 4.75 inches tall (10 cm x 12 cm). The metal rim is smoothed to prevent scratches. Do not put in water or in the dishwasher. Props in photo are not included.
I make my pretty, upcycled, eco-friendly pencil holders by layering beautiful handmade decorative papers on a recycled tin can. They can be used to store pencils, pens, paint brushes, markers, knitting needles or whatever strikes your fancy. They’re also lovely on their own simply for display. Every pencil cup is one of a kind (OOAK).
