Most of us do a lot of talking with our hands, but some gestures are far more meaningful than others...
This print was inspired by the intricate and graceful hand movements of the American Sign Language (or ASL) alphabet. While the world has produced many beautiful written alphabets, none are as lively as the physical motion of fingerspelling.
The design has been hand screen-printed on a super-soft 100% cotton brushed twill. This medium-weight fabric drapes beautifully and is perfect for many applications, including quilting, bag making, and home decor projects. If you don't sew, or just can't bear to cut it up, frame it and throw it on the wall for an easy (and inexpensive!) piece of art.
The printed design area measures 16.75" x 19.75", and is centered on a piece of fabric approximately 19" x 25".
Printed locally in Kansas City by the friendly folks of Printosaurus, check them out at www.printosaurus.org!
Fabric is machine-washable, and can be dried at low-heat. Fabric should only be ironed from the back side or with a press cloth; iron should NOT be placed directly on the design. Because of the hand screenprinting process, there may be some very minor irregularities on the edges of the prints.
