These adorable critters are simple to make! They are stitched entirely by hand, using a whip stitch around the felt edges and straight stitches for the mouth on the raccoon, tiger, tabby cat and fox. Instructions are included to make an owl, raccoon, tiger, tabby cat, fox and bird. The finished critters are 3 3/4” x 3 3/4” (this measurement does not include the ribbons – the bird is a little shorter because it doesn’t have ears/horns). The bodies are made from scraps of felt (a combination of acrylic and wool felt was used for samples). The arms and legs/feet are made from folded ribbons (1” grosgrain, satin and velvet ribbons were used for samples). Buttons are used for eyes (vintage mismatched buttons were used for samples – if making critters for a young child, you may want to sew felt circles for eyes in place of buttons).
