This particular ring is black, red, turquoise and mustard yellow with a black band.
I make these rings out of discarded telephone cords that I find anywhere from flea markets and garage sales to the deepest darkest corners of IT storage closets. I love that they look fairly boring on the outside, but when you open them up they're filled with really interesting color combinations. You can TOTALLY tell the ones that were made in the 80s.
Ringggs are adjustable by nature. They hug your finger, similar to how you would curl the telephone cord around your finger while talking to your high school bffl.
Things of note:
*there may be slight color and curliness variations from ring to ring
*rings are adjustable and will easily fit 4-9 ring size. If you'd like something bigger, message me and I'll do a custom order :)
*please don't stick this ring in your eye
Wondering about the price differences?
Good question! The fact is that some of these rings come from short cords that I've only ever seen one of! Woo, rare!!
SÜPER COOL CROWD SOURCING OFFER:
Got a used, old-ish* curly telephone cord that you want to donate?
If you mail me a cord in good shape I'll return the favor and hook you up with $5 off any ring of your choice!!
Please include shipping confirmation and feel free to use the cheapest method of shipping, usps preferred.
*Newer telephone cords tend to be just flat grey inside, but older ones can be pretty funky. General rule of thumb is that if the inside wires are colored, I AM INTO IT!
*Additionally, I'm sticking strictly with used cords. Trying to keep things from the landfill here, not create some weird false demand for completely outdated technology ;)
For now I'll limit this to one cord per person, but if you have a lot of them or if you know of a great place where I can source USED cords, message me and I'll be so grateful that maybe I'll make you a little something special!
Crowd sourcing is cooooool!
