This is meant to be used to make Japanese hina ningyo dolls for Hina Matsuri Japan's doll's festival. This would be perfect to make your own doll or to use in mixed media etc.

There is darker area on the top of his head and along his chin. This is a "5 o'clock shadow" as they would have shaved their head (and face).

This one measures about 13.5cm long including the stick. The details are really amazing! The head is made from porcelain.

About Hina Matsuri
Platforms with a red hi-mōsen are used to display a set of ornamental dolls (雛人形, hina-ningyō) representing the Emperor, Empress, attendants, and musicians in traditional court dress of the Heian period. The custom of displaying dolls began during the Heian period. Formerly, people believed the dolls possessed the power to contain bad spirits.

This will be sent in a box and shipped via EMS express shipping which includes a tracking number and insurance.
