'Wake Surfing' pendant necklace, part of the 'On The Ocean' series.
The necklace is made up from 3 rectangular polymer clay beads strung on a stainless steel cord.
The beads in shades of blue, deep purple, silver and pearl have been made using a number of polymer clay techniques, including Skinner blend, mica shift and mokume gane. The beads have been hand made, cured, sanded and hand buffed to a soft sheen.
The beads are made of a blend of metallic clay, the small openings in the surface, through which the treated with lustrous mica powders lower layer is showing, add expression to the design. The back sides of the beads in deep blue are slightly textured , with my signature imprinted.
The beads' sizes: 6.5x1.2cm, 5.5x1cm and 4.51.5cm, they are strung on a 45cm (18'') stainless steel cord with a screw clasp.
The necklace is truly an unique, dramatic and very elegant piece of jewelry.
