'Calm Waters' cuff bracelet, part of the 'On The Ocean' series.
This piece is one of a kind massive cuff bracelet made entirely from polymer clay, there are only two metal wires incorporated in the base of the cuff which act as reinforcement.
The top layer in shades of blue, deep purple, silver and pearl has been made using a number of polymer clay techniques, including Skinner blend, mica shift and mokume gane. The small openings in the surface add expression to the design.
The bracelet has been hand made, multiple cured, sanded and hand buffed to a soft sheen.
The top layer of the cuff has been made of a blend of metallic clay, through the small openings in the surface lower layer is showing which has been treated with lustrous mica powders.The inner side of the cuff in deep blue is slightly textured , with my signature imprinted.
The cuff's inner circumference is approx. 18.5cm (7.3"), it will fit any average wrist. The bracelet is 4cm (1.6") wide and 7mm (0.3") thick.
It is an unique and very elegant piece of jewelry.
