The quilt is machine pieced with a two-tone patchwork centre and a wide toning border.
It has a natural unbleached cotton wadding and is echo quilted around the boarder and has a geometric pattern - it looks like a nine men morris board to me.
It is bound with a doubled cream and red edge binding, machine sewn to the front and hand stitched to the back of the quilt.
The quilt comes with an embroidered quilt label bearing my name and the year of construction in toning embroidery silks and sympathetic designs.
The quilt is approximately 35" x 35" (87cm x 87cm).
It would make a wonderful present for a special baby and is light but robust and could be used as a play mat or wall hanging too.
It can be machine washed on a gentle wash at 30 degrees C but should be line dried and lightly ironed. It has been pre-laundered to allow the little wrinkles to develop.
