The Moira line of yarn is a handspun and hand-dyed mohair yarn. Mohair is by way the wool from angora goats. In the Moira line, I tried to replicate the fiber as it would look on the animal: curly, wavy, shaggylicious. Each lock of fiber is spun and added to the next one in a technique called lock spinning. Then the single yarn is plyed with a cotton thread for balance and strength.
This yarn will look fantastic as a trim on a jacket collar or cuffs. I can also see a a trim of top of mittens, a shoulder bag, a purse, a messenger bag or cool knee high socks.
